I think for my first practical production, I will probably decide to make something that is print based. I prefer to do things on my own at times and by opting to do a print based production, I can use my own ideas in order to create the piece of coursework. Also by doing my own piece, I don't have to rely on other  people in order to do the production because from past experiences in other subjects involving group work I have found it to be very stressful at times and especially when you are relying on a certain person to turn up who make be struggling the most and they don't turn up when you have told them to and decide to turn up on a different day and then blame you for them being wrong, I have found that extremely stressful. But then again, doing a production  based on moving image could be fun and very satisfying when the production is done, but differing ideas often can lead to conflict amongst your 'teammates,' forcing you to make a compromise that may possibly be not what you really want for the production.

Media Terminology Definitions

The term ‘Match on Action’ means that” when something is happening in a scene and then it cuts to another scene, it suggests that the action is still going” on whilst we are viewing this ‘other’ scene.

Shot-Reverse-Shot is when “one character is placed so that they look at another character and the other character is placed so that they look back at the original character. Since they look in opposite directions we presume that they are looking at each other.”

180 degree rule means that any characters in a scene “should always have the same left to right relationship. If the rule is broken then it disorients the audience, if the person who was facing left then right in the next scene it confuses us.”

Photoshop magazine

The design is of a magazine cover but using the Photoshop software 'look' of the software as you open it and use it as the cover.

It was my first ever time using the software and so I had no idea about what i could do in it. It was set when the teacher was ill and so i couldn't ask how to use it.

The purpose was to create a magazine cover about Photoshop and so i thouht i could include the look of the software as the cover. My skills have advanced a bit in Photoshop thanks to using it in ICT when we had some guidance on how to use it. But i've only created 'graphics' in ICT not anything to the standard or 'vision' that Media has for using the software. So i'm clueless on how to make a magazine cover in it, yet alone how to make it look professional.
